The Oughtred Society is pleased to be co-hosting the International Meeting of Slide Rule Collectors - IM 2011 in
conjunction with special events and displays at the MIT Museum. The meeting will be held September 22-25 at
Le Meridien Hotel, Cambridge, MA, which is located within walking distance of the MIT
(Massachusetts Institute of Technology) campus. |

The trolley tour features 18 points of interest in the greater Boston/Cambridge area. Trolleys run all day and riders can get on and off and spend as much or as little time as they wish at each point. This is a wonderful, easy, fun way to get an overview of Boston's many interesting sights and places.

Recommended Spouse/Guest Activity - A Tour of the Museum of Fine Arts
Boston's Museum of Fine Arts has recently undergone an extraordinary and transformative expansion that has propelled it into the realm of the world's finest museums. The new wing is dedicated to Art of the Americas. The MFA is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world, having more than 450,000 works of art.

Conference registration costs include attendance to all activities at Le Meridien, all MIT-sponsored events, Breakfast and Lunch on Friday, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday, refreshments breaks during the conference, and a digital copy on disk of the proceedings. Hard copies of the proceedings will also be available for purchase at the meeting. Hotel room and any additional accommodations are not included and will need to be handled separately by the attendee. MIT is located in the heart of Historic Cambridge just a few short miles from Downtown Boston, one of America's earliest cities. From their Colonial roots to today's thriving communities, the Boston/Cambridge area is home to a wealth of cultural and education institutions. Both cities offer World Class shopping, sightseeing and recreational opportunities.
